Welcome back to the Davis Jewelry Designs blog! I’m so excited to introduce my newest collection: Drop Necklaces & Earrings — designed to bring subtle elegance, minimalist flair, and everyday sparkle into your world.

Why Drop Styles?

There’s something magical about the gentle sway of a drop pendant or an earring that swings just so. Drop designs draw the eye downward, elongating the neckline and giving movement to your look. They work beautifully whether you’re dressing up a casual tee or accenting a little black dress. I designed this collection with balance in mind: lightweight enough for all-day wear, yet detailed enough to make a statement.

Materials & Craftsmanship

As always, I chose materials I trust and love. Each piece in this collection features:

• Glass beads — faceted or smooth, in soft hues and jewel tones
• Sterling silver ear wires and findings — for that quality feel and hypoallergenic comfort
• Silver-tone accent beads or spacers — to add a touch of shine and contrast

Every necklace is strung with care, so your pendant drops just the right length (often ~18” chain, or customizable). Earrings are balanced so they hang straight and don’t twist. I inspect each piece under magnification to check for clean wire wraps and secure connections.

Styling Tips & Outfit Pairings

Here are a few ways to wear these Drops:

• Casual & relaxed: Pair a single drop necklace with a v-neck tee or linen blouse. Let your earrings echo a bead color in the necklace for cohesion.
• Office polish: Choose a neutral-tone drop (smoky gray, pale peach, soft green) and pair it with a blazer or button-up. The tear-drop silhouette adds a refined touch without being bold.
• Layering: If you like layered necklaces, let a drop sit as your longest layer. Keep shorter layers simple (e.g. a delicate chain) so they don’t compete.
• Evening & events: Go bolder by choosing darker glass beads (navy, deep amethyst, emerald), and combine with complementary drop earrings for a matched set. The linear shape frames the face beautifully. 

Why This Collection Matters To Me

I’ve always believed jewelry should be personal. The Drop collection is my way of creating pieces that feel intimate and wearable—not too heavy, not too flashy. I want you to reach for them daily, whether you’re running errands, heading to lunch, or dressing up for a night out.
